Lectin histochemical identification of glycoconjugate sugar residues in pancreas on monkey

Abstract

PNA, WGA, HPA, BSA -1 ولکنها کانت سلبية التفاعل مع con A. ,Pancreaia Jrom nine adult healthy male and female qf three monkey species wereUsed to study the distributon of the glycoconjugaed sugar residues in situ. using a battery of lecllins (ConA, WGA, PNA, HPA and BSA-l). these leclins were used as a proband the horsraddish peroxidase (HRP) as visualant . the results revealed, wide varialionsin the reactions of the different pancreatic cellular structures with the used leetins While lhe apical cytoplasm of the all pancretiic structures cells were unyormly reacled to WGA. the basal regioll Qf which were reacted to con –A . Some pancrealic actnar cells were posilively reacted (0 PNA and BSA – 1, others were Negative to them and the all were negatively reacted to HPA. The lining epithelium of the lnterloblilar ducts reacled Posillively to all the used lectins except Con-A. Islets qf LaHgerhans were negatively Reacled to all the used lectins. ,
