The present study was designed to investigate the possible mytagenic influence if any of phoxun (1.5 and 1.10 LD50) in 32 immature male rats. The abtained daia revealed that the mutagenic effect of phoxim showed dose response relationship. The main types of structurual aberrations in ireated rais were breaks, gups, fragments and delation. No numerical aberrations were noticed during the examination of the bone marrow melaplase cells of trcatcd rais with 1/5 or 1/10 LD50 of phoxin. Moreover, phoxin induced a significant increase in the percentage of micronucleated polychromatic and normochromalic cells of treated rats.
